One of the greatest responsibilities we have as moms isn't simply shaping our children's behavior—it's helping shape their hearts.
We want to raise children who are kind, respectful, and responsible. But even deeper than that, we want to raise children who know Jesus. Children who understand God's love, recognize His truth, and learn how to walk in both.
And if we're honest, finding that balance can be challenging.
Some days we lean heavily into correction and discipline. Other days we lean into comfort and compassion. But Jesus modeled something beautiful for us: He was full of both grace and truth.
Not one or the other.
Both.
In this episode of the Rooted Woman Podcast, we're talking about how to teach our children grace and truth in a way that reflects the heart of God and helps them build a strong foundation of faith.

They can be corrected and still be deeply loved.
They can be disciplined and still belong.
They can fail and still be valued.
As moms, that often requires us to slow down and choose intention over frustration.
Instead of simply reacting to behavior, we begin asking deeper questions:
What's happening beneath the surface?
What is my child feeling?
How can I guide them while still protecting connection?

And if we're not careful, that deep love can slowly turn into pressure—the feeling that their future depends entirely on us getting everything right.
But God never called us to carry that burden.

There comes a point in motherhood where you realize something important:
Your mental and emotional space matters just as much as your time and energy.
But the reality is—no one really teaches us how to protect it.
As moms, we’re constantly taking things in…Opinions. Expectations. Advice. Criticism. Social media noise.And the quiet, relentless pressure in our own minds telling us we should be doing more, doing better, being more.
And before we even realize it, our peace starts to slip.

If you’re a mom, exhaustion can easily become your normal.
Not just the physical tiredness from long days and sleepless nights—but the deeper kind of weary that settles into your bones. The kind where you wake up already thinking about everything that needs to be done. The invisible mental load. The pressure to keep everything running smoothly for everyone else.
And sometimes, we even feel guilty for being tired.
We tell ourselves we should be stronger, more organized, more capable. But Jesus never speaks to weary people with shame. He speaks to them with invitation.
“Come to Me… and I will give you rest.”
In this episode of the Rooted Woman Podcast, we’re talking about the biblical importance of rest and why it matters so much for our faith, our motherhood, and our emotional and spiritual health.
Rest in Scripture isn’t just about naps or days off—though those can certainly help. Biblical rest is deeper than that. It’s a posture of trust. It’s choosing to stop striving long enough to remember that God is God and we are not.

And the beautiful part? He describes Himself as gentle and humble in heart.
That means when you come to Him exhausted, overwhelmed, or stretched thin, He doesn’t respond with frustration. He meets you with kindness, patience, and grace.

Brokenness has a way of shaking everything.
It can shake your identity, your confidence, your ability to trust, and even your hope for the future. Sometimes the hardest part isn’t just what happened to you—it’s the quiet lies that begin to settle into your heart afterward.
The thoughts that whisper:“I’m too far gone.”“I’ll never feel whole again.”“I’ll never be confident again.”
But Isaiah 61:3 reminds us of something powerful: God is not intimidated by ashes. He is a Redeemer, a Restorer, and He specializes in rebuilding what feels impossible.

Motherhood can move fast. One minute you’re rocking a newborn, and the next you’re managing busy schedules, messy kitchens, endless questions, and long days that seem to blur together. In the middle of caring for everyone else, it’s easy for joy to quietly slip into the background.
Not because you don’t love your children.Not because you aren’t grateful.But because the weight of everyday responsibilities can slowly dull your spirit.
