“To provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
the oil of joy instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.” — Isaiah 61:3
Brokenness has a way of shaking everything.
It can shake your identity, your confidence, your ability to trust, and even your hope for the future. Sometimes the hardest part isn’t just what happened to you—it’s the quiet lies that begin to settle into your heart afterward.
The thoughts that whisper:
“I’m too far gone.”
“I’ll never feel whole again.”
“I’ll never be confident again.”
But Isaiah 61:3 reminds us of something powerful: God is not intimidated by ashes. He is a Redeemer, a Restorer, and He specializes in rebuilding what feels impossible.
In this episode of the Rooted Woman Podcast, we talk about what it really looks like to rebuild confidence after seasons of pain, trauma, rejection, or deep brokenness.
True confidence doesn’t come from pretending the pain didn’t happen. It doesn’t come from motivational phrases or “positive thinking.” Real, lasting confidence is rooted in truth—in letting what we know about God reshape what we believe about ourselves.
Because when life wounds us, our thoughts often shift into survival mode. We begin filtering everything through fear, control, and self-protection. But healing begins when we return to theological thinking—allowing God’s Word to anchor our identity instead of our past experiences.
In this episode, we talk honestly about shame, healing, and the slow but beautiful process of letting God rebuild what life tried to break.
You’ll be reminded that confidence isn’t about becoming perfect or having it all together. It’s about learning to live from the steady truth that even while you’re still healing, you are still chosen, still loved, and still valuable in God’s eyes.
Isaiah 61:3 shows us a powerful exchange:
Beauty instead of ashes.
Joy instead of mourning.
Praise instead of despair.
God isn’t just interested in helping you cope—He is in the business of transformation.
And that rebuilding often happens quietly, day by day, as we learn to replace lies with truth and surrender the pressure to fix ourselves.
✨ In this episode, we talk about:
• How brokenness can distort your identity and confidence
• Why true confidence must be rooted in God’s truth
• The difference between positive thinking and theological thinking
• Letting go of shame and embracing God’s redemption
• The slow, faithful process of rebuilding after pain
• How healing and restoration shape the woman—and mother—God is calling you to be
If you’re walking through a season of healing, rebuilding, or rediscovering who you are after brokenness, this episode will remind you that your story is not over.
God is still restoring.
Still rebuilding.
Still making beauty from ashes.
